✨ Wander & inspire: travel quote of the day about “worry”

Worry is a total waste of time. It steals your joy and keeps you busy doing nothing.”

I was wandering through the streets of a village in the Netherlands with no real destination.

My camera was in my hand, but I wasn’t searching for famous landmarks.

I was looking for details—a doorway covered in ivy, the reflection of old buildings in the canal, the way the afternoon light transformed centuries-old architecture.

At one point, I realized I had no idea where I was. Normally, that would have worried me. Instead, I smiled.

Travel has taught me that not every path needs to be planned. Sometimes the most beautiful photographs—and the most meaningful memories—are found when you stop trying to control the journey. Since then, I’ve carried that lesson with me: worry steals the joy of discovery, but curiosity always gives something back.

Some of my favorite memories happened because nothing went according to plan.

Travel has taught me that worry rarely changes the outcome—it only changes the experience. It steals the excitement of the present moment and replaces it with “what ifs.”
